Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m Kennea (pronounced ken-NAY), the founder and maker behind PersoNEAlized (pronounced perso-NAY-lized, with the “NAY” from my name).

I have always been a full-on DIY person. If something looks like I might be able to make it, there is a very good chance I’m going to try.

That has shown up in a lot of ways over the years, especially when it comes to celebrating the people I care about. I’ve planned and created baby showers, parties, gifts, decor, favors, and all the little details in between for family and friends. More than once, people have assumed we hired someone to do it.

We didn’t. We did the thing.

And for me, the little details have always mattered.

I’m often the person making one more adjustment when someone asks, “Who is even going to notice that?”

My answer is usually, “Me.”

Not because everything has to be perfect, but because I care about how the finished experience feels. I notice the placement. I notice the color. I notice whether something feels complete. I notice whether it looks like somebody took their time.

That same level of care is what I wanted to bring to PersoNEAlized.

Sometimes you know exactly what you want.

And sometimes you have a theme, a color, a Pinterest screenshot, a few words, or simply, “I want it to feel special.”

I can work with that too.

Through PersoNEAlized's party planning packages, I can take that starting point and run with it, helping develop the look, details, decor, favors, and overall experience around your vision and your budget.

I am a firm believer that a beautiful celebration does not have to look like what it cost.

We can make the budget work hard.

Call it balling on a budget. Nobody else has to know.

What matters is that the final result feels intentional, pulled together, and like you.

That is one of my favorite parts of creating. Give me the seed of an idea, and my brain immediately starts thinking about what it could become

More Than a Name on Something

For me, personalization is about more than adding a name to an item.

It is taking an idea, memory, photo, favorite color, inside joke, personality, theme, or tiny personal detail and turning it into something tangible.

Sometimes it is sentimental. Sometimes it is fun. Sometimes it is a whole celebration. And sometimes it is simply seeing something and immediately thinking, this is so them.

Those are the things I want to create.

I also know what it feels like to order something that looks thoughtful online and receive it only to think, I could have done better myself.

I never want that to be the feeling attached to something I send out.

PersoNEAlized is a small creative business. These are pieces and experiences I am actually thinking through, designing, making, finishing, planning, and preparing with care.

I care about what I create.

And I care about what you receive.

That does not mean handmade has to mean flawless. It means thoughtful, intentional, and cared for from beginning to end.

It’s All in the Details

For me, personalization is in the details.

The name that makes something theirs.
The photo that holds a memory.
The colors that remind you of someone.
The favor that fits the theme.
The detail most people might never notice.

Because sometimes the thing that seems small is the exact thing that makes someone feel seen.

That is what PersoNEAlized is really about.

Creating something that makes the person receiving it, walking into it, or celebrating in it think:

You really thought about me.

A Passion Project, Finally Given a Chance

For years, whenever I made something, planned something, or somehow became the unofficial “producer” of an event, I would hear some version of the same thing:

“You should do this.”
“This is your calling.”

So now, I’m trying.

I don't know exactly where PersoNEAlized will go, and there is something exciting about that.

This business is a passion project coming to life during a new stage of my own life, one where I am intentionally finding my way back to the things that bring me joy.

Creating is one of those things.

There is something deeply satisfying about starting with an idea and watching all the little pieces come together. PersoNEAlized gives me a place to do more of that, to keep learning, to keep making, and hopefully to create things that become part of someone else's memories along the way.

So this is me giving that part of myself a real chance and seeing where it takes me.
